In the\u00a0Triumph hurdle<\/b>, we already have\u00a0Plinth<\/b>\u00a0running for us and we anticipate a better showing from him on this decent ground, but I’d also like to add\u00a0Broughton<\/b>\u00a0to the portfolio as he looks the ideal type of improver that does well in this race. Both of these are former flat horses and that is a stat that is doing really well at the minute.<\/p>\n
In the\u00a0Albert Bartlett<\/b>, progeny of Oscar and Kings Theatre must be respected. so I’m suggesting we place a win bet on\u00a0Kings Palace<\/b>\u00a0and an ew bet on\u00a0Apache Jack<\/b>. Kings Palace, is probably the hottest stat horse of the day having ticked most boxes when winning the Bristol Novice Hurdle here earlier in the season. He is the Bet of the Day.<\/p>\n
The County Hurdle<\/b>\u00a0is always ultra competitive but I’m quite confident that\u00a0Lac Fontana<\/b>\u00a0has been prepared with this day in mind. Look at his runs this season, all at Cheltenham in decent races. You know he finishes off well up that hill and that’s a massive bonus for any horse.<\/p>\n
We are all over\u00a0Last Instalment<\/b>\u00a0in the Gold Cup as we backed him at 50s ew NRNB a few weeks back. If he wins today, you can expect the Champagne Bar to up it’s takings by a few thousand! We have loads of respect for\u00a0Bobs Worth<\/b>\u00a0but retaining your crown is harder than actually winning it, so he will have to be one of the best Gold Cup horses of recent times to do it, which he may very well be, as he is unbeaten over fences at Cheltenham.<\/p>\n
In\u00a0The Grand Annual,<\/b>\u00a0there is a huge stat that will help us to whittle down the field. In the last 10 years no horse has won carrying more than 10-13. That knocks off an awful lot of runners. Younger horses do well in this, so I’m plumping for\u00a0Ned Buntline<\/b>, who split Jezki and Silver Concorde on his debut, and\u00a0Passage Vendome\u00a0<\/b>with Ruby on board. Let’s hope the luck of the Irish rubs off on us and we collect a few pounds at the death.<\/p>\n
