Beginner’s guide to Video Poker

By | March 9, 2016

There’s always been a bit of a gap in the Fortune Palace portfolio, and it’s one that’s bugged me a bit, if I’m honest.

Today, I’ve plugged the gap! Video Poker is now part of our offering, to go alongside its big cousins like Roulette, Blackjack and Slots.

I’ve put together a complete beginner’s guide to Video Poker. After all, I reckon you’d like to go on the same journey that I did – learning to play the game, refining a strategy, and slowly falling in love with the excitement of a simple but extremely addictive game.

So we have a guide to the rules and ‘mechanics’ of the game, an explanation of the optimal strategy (arranged in a different way to make it easier to remember) and – in keeping with the Fortune Palace ethos of Learn, Practice, Play – a no download, free play, HTML5 Jacks or Better game that you can play to your heart’s content – on desktop, tablet or mobile.

I’ve focused on Jacks or Better as that’s the most common version, plus it leads on easily to more unusual varieties like Aces and Faces, Tens or Better etc.
Having played it relentlessly for 4 weeks now, I honestly think it’s more enjoyable than most games, and is a great alternative for Slots players looking for a change.

Have a read through the guide – and get playing!
