Start collecting art

I really want to start collecting art and become a Picture Dealer!

Yes that was a corny introduction today I admit and I apologise for it. However, the sentiment behind it is that today’s nap is Picture Dealer in the 14.05 at Newcastle. This horse has good fast ground form and this is the first time this season that conditions are right for him. You can ignore any performance were the word Firm isn’t in the going description. His runs this season have led to a drop in the handicap and he is now just 1lb higher than his last winning mark. I think he is primed for today.

Chris Wall doesn’t  have a lot of first time out 2yo winners, so when he does have one, you have to sit up and take note, as they usually turn out to be good ones. So it is no surprise to me that Accipiter has been thrown from a Kempton maiden win at 33/1, straight in to a Listed race at HQ at 14.20. She had some runners from big stables behind when winning at Kempton and though the form could be anything or nothing at this stage, clearly she is doing everything right.

Jeremy Noseda has hit a bit of form in recent weeks and one of his favourite tracks is Windsor. He has a decent strike rate with his older handicappers there and it may be worth taking a speculator on Valbcheck in the 16.10. He has had no chance on his last 2 runs with the ground being too soft initially and then he was simply outclassed in a very hot Listed race here last time. This should be much more like his cup of tea.
